NEWSLETTER SPRING 2008
From The Executive Director
Spring seems to be here in full force. The campus is simply beautiful with all the color bursting forth. This to me is a true picture of what Faith Home is all about.
The men and women who come into our program at first, are as dead as the winter season, but as they get involved in God's program, spring begins to blossom. This is what we call hope returning. What a blessing it is to witness these miracles.
We have been so busy since the beginning of this year with the expansion of the Abbeville Facility. there is such a need for more room for the ladies.
The men in charge of the expansion have done a splendid job. Be sure to make plans to attend the open house in Abbeville when the date is set.
Our Board met April 20th with many ideas and plans which hopefully will soon take place. We have reached a point that we must move forward with those plans. We believe God is telling us to do just that.
I know things are really tight now as it always is during election time, but I also know God owns the universe and this my friend is God's ministry. For we walk by faith, not by sight. II Cor. 5:7 We need your support, not only financially but we really need your prayers.

From The Superintendent
As we enter into this 2nd Quarter of 2008 we see God's work as new life springs forth. That's what we pray for as each resident comes in, that God will give them a new life in Christ.
We thank God for the results we have had with 428 admissions and 350 men graduating Faith Home Greenwood, thats 82% completion, Faith Home Abbeville:79 admissions with 58 ladies graduating with a 73% completion rate and Faith Home Spartanburg: 165 admissions and 140 men graduating at 84% completion.
Our annual survey of recovery results produced a 78% recovery rate between 1 & 3 years out of treatment. These outcomes are some of the best results in the country.
We are very excited about nearing completion
of the new Abbeville Ladies Facility, and you can be very proud to be a part of such an awesome ministry. We continue to ask for your prayers and support.

The Chaplain's Corner A certain missionary found herself seriously ill in the outpost where the Lord had stationed her. To add to her sorrow, her check had not arrived and she was forced day after day to do without the good food she needed and had to live on a miserable diet of oatmeal and canned milk. In spite of everything the missionary got better, and after 30 days of steady oatmeal diet, she finally got her check and was able to get something different on the table. During her illness she had" a little sneaking suspicion that the Lord was not doing her right."
When furlough time came, she told of her great trial in an eagar audience. At the close of the meeting a kindly doctor inquired as to the nature of her ailment. After hearing what the digestional malfunction was, he said, "Well, if your check had arrived, you would not be here talking to me today. And the diet we always prescrcribe for that trouble is a 30 day oatmeal diet."
